This past weekend was another great outing for Seas to Trees Adventures! We decided to head over the bridge to Scenic Beach State Park near Seabeck, Washington. The park sits right on the bank of the hood canal and was honestly one of the best kept campgrounds that we have stayed at. The hosts were super kind and informative of the area, although we didn't talk to them much. I will tell you, that they were on their game when campers left. Within the hour of a camper vacating their site, they were pulling up in their John Deere Gator with rakes in hand ready to have the next camper pull in. It was kind of a thing of beauty.
To be honest, this past weekend was a pretty lazy one. We cooked some great meals and spent some time just lounging around. It was very much well deserved, and welcomed. Loz hung out in the hammock that she deemed "the cocoon of mediocrity". It was the first time that she had used the underquilt, and she does not think that it works under 50 degrees. You can see here hanging away in her cocoon.
The past weekend consists of taking the Danes for a walks, reading a really great book, and eating some great food. I don't have a lot to write about it as it was just nice. Now I guess check out some of the photos I took.
This weekend is going to be a clean and organize weekend. I will be heading out to take some nice photos of Franklin for his Bio page, but other than that, doing laundry and making sure our gear is packed for the weekend after. We are trying to get out every other weekend until the middle of the summer when our schedules open up a little more!
